Ranchero (2008)

Ranchero takes place in a small jail in Rizal province. It follows Ricardo, who is scheduled to be released today. He and his close friend Miyong work together in the jail kitchen, spending the morning discussing Ricardo’s plans for the future. After lunch, a kitchen knife goes missing, drawing the attention of the jail authorities. This incident has consequences not only for the kitchen's ability to prepare food but also for the lives of Ricardo and Miyong.
