Description:
Adi (40), a shy anthropologist recently broken up with, relocates to Ferentari, Bucharest's rough neighborhood, to study manele music. This popular Roma music offers an escape for some, but often traps artists in debt and dependence controlled by the mafia. While researching, Adi meets Alberto, a large ex-convict of Roma heritage who offers his help. An unexpected romance blossoms between them, with Adi sharing idealistic dreams of escaping poverty and Alberto responding with heartfelt expressions of affection. Their playful connection deepens into love, but becomes complicated by Alberto's dangerous nature and the unfamiliar world he comes from.
