Nyai Ahmad Dahlan (2017)

The story of Siti Walidah, also known as Nyai Ahmad Dahlan, chronicles her journey from a young woman eager for education to a pivotal figure in Indonesian history. She married KH Ahmad Dahlan and became a champion of women's rights, notably resisting arranged marriages. A leader in her own right, she was the first woman to lead the Muhammadiyah Congress in 1926 and founded the Sopo Treno women’s movement, later renamed Aisyiyah. Recognized for her contributions, she was posthumously honored as a National Hero on November 10, 1971.
