Description:
Five years ago, we began filming a documentary about Reverend George Exoo, a struggling Unitarian minister from West Virginia who assists terminally ill people in ending their lives. As we document his work, we witness a disturbing shift: George begins helping people who are not terminally ill. He becomes frustrated when clients change their minds and no longer wish to die, and repeatedly expresses excitement about his own impending death. He’s joined by Susan, a new assistant with a pragmatic approach, who states she'll assist anyone for the right price. "For George, it's a calling," she says. "For me, it's a business." George claims to have assisted over 100 people in committing suicide.
