Description:
Tantra and Tantri are always together. They secretly steal eggs meant for a family offering, with Tantri taking the whites and Tantra the yolks. One day, Tantra is gone, and so is the yolk. Her brother is seriously ill in the hospital, and Tantri begins entering magical parallel worlds, using costumes, body paint, and dance to cope with the impending loss. When her mother washes off the paint, it feels like a gentle attempt to reject the idea that things can stay the same. Through dreamlike scenes and exploring Balinese beliefs about the visible and invisible realms, Andini tells the story of a ten-year-old girl navigating separation and grief.
