Description:
A famous actor, unhappy with his life both at home and in the theater, abruptly halts a dress rehearsal for a play where he has a leading role. He then journeys to the Danube River to visit a friend who transports bricks on a small barge from a poor settlement to Belgrade. This unexpected move puzzles everyone around him. People head to the Danube to understand his strange behavior and when he'll return to normalcy. The actor refuses to explain, only stating he's aware of what he dislikes. The young director, who was filming a portrait of the actor, is unsure how to proceed. The opening night is postponed.
