City of Dreams (2000)

This documentary examines the partnership of Marion Mahony Griffin, the first woman registered as an architect, and her husband Walter Burley Griffin, who was Frank Lloyd Wright's longest-serving designer. It details their battles with official obstacles, the principles guiding their lives and designs, and their dedication to architecture that harmonized society and nature, and connected humanity with the environment. The film combines their personal and professional stories using archival and modern footage, photographs, their letters and writings, and insights from architects, historians, and those who knew them.
