Crowdie and Cream (2002)

This film adaptation tells the childhood story of Findlay J McDonald, who grew up on the Isle of Harris in the 1930s. It follows his life on a small croft, where his family farmed a few acres, raised a cow, and operated a loom to weave Harris Tweed. Despite the difficulties of island life, McDonald's sharp wit and humor are evident. He eventually leaves the island after World War II to pursue further education.
