Description:
In 1986, on the night of his graduation from the English Language School, Loris attempts to flee to the West but is betrayed and imprisoned. Accused of political motives, he is sentenced. Inside the prison, a stark slogan is emblazoned on the wall: "If you don't know – we will teach you, if you can't – we will show you how, if you don't want to – we will force you." This becomes their reality, with torture, cynicism, and violence transforming Loris into a detached observer. As the Berlin Wall falls, he is granted amnesty. Yet, freedom leaves him alienated and adrift. Desperate to escape his pain, Loris seeks revenge, ultimately leading him toward self-destruction. But along the way, he finds love, and attempts to find redemption through another escape.
