Description:
"Himmler's Kantele Player" tells the story of a Finnish student who abandons his studies at the Sorbonne and walks from Paris to Helsinki in the spring of 1935. During his journey through Germany, he encounters Heinrich Himmler, who becomes fascinated by the Finnish kantele. Himmler then recruits the student, Yrjö, as a researcher for the Ahnenerbe institute, tasking him with investigating supposed Aryan origins within the runic singing traditions of Finnish Karelia.
