Fikri, raised in a modest family, develops into a devout and self-sufficient young man. Alongside his studies, he supports his parents by making cakes, fried snacks, painting frames, and sand art sold in various galleries, including Koh Acong’s, where he meets Koh Acong’s beautiful daughter, Lidya. Fikri is admired by many women on campus, but he only cares for Leni. Leni reciprocates his feelings but, as a reserved Muslim girl, keeps them hidden and rejects Fikri’s friend, Irul, who is wealthy and famous. After graduation and facing separation, Leni and Fikri confess their love. However, as they plan to get married, they discover Leni is to be arranged to another man. Fikri earnestly asks Leni to respect her parents' wishes.
