Description:
Based on a true story, the film follows Reverend Roger Minassian, who, at 53, leaves his established life as a pastor to tackle a daunting challenge. Unfamiliar with gang culture, he ventures into the streets and dramatically changes his city, which is plagued by gang violence, by helping over 1,700 at-risk youth. Intertwined with this is the story of Santos Delgado, a 16-year-old gang member with seemingly no future and little hope, facing a life of imprisonment or death while pregnant. The film explores themes of taking risks, embracing change, overcoming seemingly insurmountable obstacles, and discovering hope.
