The Nest (2003)

"The Nest" follows a young couple whose marriage falls apart following an unspecified accident that deeply traumatizes the wife. As she struggles, government agents, investigators, and mysterious figures appear, attempting to unravel a conspiracy involving alien forces targeting the couple. The film uses a variety of vintage filmmaking techniques – including in-camera effects, drawings, optical printing, miniatures, puppets, and prosthetic makeup – to visually represent the protagonists' unraveling lives and the film's own fragmented structure.
