Headcheese (2001)

Filmed on black and white 8mm and 16mm film, Headcheese loosely adapts Luke 8:29, presenting a stark portrayal of a disturbed man's fractured mind. He undertakes a strange journey to Quick Hill, Texas, seeking to purge his soul of perceived weaknesses. Inspired by and named after the 1974 film *The Texas Chain Saw Massacre*, Headcheese was shot at locations used in that movie, showcasing decaying ruins. While not a typical horror film, it depicts a killer's psychological breakdown as he confronts his inner demons, resulting in a hallucinatory and bleak short film. A harsh, noise-driven soundtrack complements the intense visual decay, making Headcheese a compelling experimental exploration of torment.
