Morimura Yuuki, a high school music teacher and the Fujimi Orchestra's concert master, is surprised when a brilliant young conductor named Tonoin Kei joins their amateur group. Despite his strict approach, Tonoin quickly elevates the orchestra's performances, making Yuuki feel his own efforts are insignificant. Realizing his three-year crush on a fellow member is in love with Tonoin, Yuuki decides to leave the orchestra. However, Tonoin stops him, confessing his love for Yuuki and revealing he is gay. Confused by the unexpected confession, Yuuki misinterprets it, leading to a painful misunderstanding.
