Description:

*The Fragrant Sword* is a Hong Kong martial arts film starring Stanley Fung. Yu Lap-chung is executed for murders targeting members of the martial arts alliance, while the real killer remains at large. To protect the leaders of Emei and Xueshan from further threats, the alliance's Golden-clad Ambassador seeks assistance from security expert Wai To. Yu, spared execution by his master who used a stand-in, disguises himself as a scholar and befriends Ai Ching-yee, the daughter of a powerful fortress leader. He uncovers a conspiracy by her father and his sworn brother to control the martial world through violence against the alliance. Yu persuades Ching-yee to help capture the mastermind behind these atrocities. With the culprit apprehended, the young lovers leave together.
