Description:
Mitrice Richardson, a 24-year-old African-American woman, was released from jail in Malibu late one night after being detained for not paying a restaurant bill. She had been exhibiting erratic behavior and was experiencing a mental health crisis. Released into the mountains with no possessions or means of transportation, she disappeared. Eleven months later, her remains were discovered in a remote Malibu canyon.
