Description:
This horror documentary differs from the 1986 TV special "Stephen King's World of Horror" and the 1988 VHS release of the same name, which focused on King himself. The 1989 special, "This Is Horror," aired in four 60-minute parts. While it incorporates some footage from the original special, it mainly features new interviews and behind-the-scenes material exploring popular horror in the late 1980s. A condensed 90-minute version was released on video in the U.S. by Goodtimes in 1990. Internationally, the entire special was released as two 90-minute tapes, titled "This is Horror: A Video Encyclopedia of Horror (Volumes 1 and 2)" in the UK and "Best of Stephen King's World of Horror (Parts 1 & 2)" in Germany.
