Stonehenge, a famous prehistoric monument, has puzzled experts for centuries. Its purpose and the people who built it remain unknown. Now, a team of international archaeologists from the University of Birmingham and the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute in Vienna believes a new, advanced method can solve the mystery. Over four years, they've mapped the entire site and surrounding ten square kilometers to create a detailed digital record of Stonehenge and its landscape over thousands of years. "Operation Stonehenge" takes viewers on a journey from 8000BC to 2500BC as the scientists discover the origins of Stonehenge and understand why this place was considered sacred and respected for so long.
