Overava (2012)

Overava, meaning "shiny" in Guaraní, tells the story of hidden treasures buried in Paraguay during the mid-19th century Triple Alliance War. Legend says the owners, killed during the war, were doomed to guard their valuables out of greed. Locals report strange sights at night during storms: lights, blue flames in trees, headless dogs, and white animals. Many have witnessed the ghosts, and some treasure hunters risk nightly searches for the gold buried just beneath the surface. Few know the secret to communicating with the spirits and convincing them to relinquish their treasures.
