Cutting Edge (2006)

This one-hour documentary follows a day at a thriving barbershop on Harlem's 125th Street. It reveals how these shops serve as important gathering places for Black men to share thoughts on everything from serious issues to everyday life, often sparking lively discussions and camaraderie. Conversations in the shop cover topics like HIV/AIDS, relationships, social issues, politics, and popular culture. While embodying traditional barbershop culture, the shop also includes women in the conversations and increasingly welcomes a diverse clientele – including some new faces amidst the neighborhood's changing demographics.
