Description:
One is a retired police officer, bodyguard, and hairdresser, now caring for his wealthy, elderly, and illiterate mother. He writes poetry, dreaming of publication. The other, a known womanizer, workaholic, and leftist, was imprisoned during the dictatorship and now runs a small grocery store, controlling his young wife's life. Both were born in the Uruguayan countryside during World War II and share the same name, which neither has ever changed. This tragicomic film portrays Uruguay through these exceptional men, reflecting the country's diverse culture, unique history, and the complex character of its people, all observed with irony and thoughtful reflection.
