Bellator 164: Koreshkov vs. Lima 2 (2016)

Bellator 164, taking place November 10, 2016, in Tel Aviv, Israel, featured a highly anticipated rematch between two of the leading Welterweights in the world. Bellator champion Andrey Koreshkov faced former champion Douglas Lima in the main event. Koreshkov previously won the welterweight title from Lima at Bellator 140. Earlier in 2016, Koreshkov successfully defended the belt against former UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson at Bellator 153. Lima had previously captured the vacant welterweight title by defeating Rick Hawn at Bellator 117. Following a year-long absence after his loss to Koreshkov, Lima returned in July, defeating Paul Daley at Bellator 158.
