Description:
"So This is Love?" was an early film for Columbia Pictures directed by Frank Capra. Jerry McGuire (William Collier Jr.), a dress designer, wants to prove he's not weak. He secretly takes boxing lessons, using his new skills to defeat his rival, Spike Mullins (Johnnie Walker). This newfound confidence wins him the heart of store clerk Hilda Jensen (Shirley Mason), who is attracted to strong men. Quickly made in just three weeks, "So This is Love?" was completed before Capra's "Matinee Idol" but released later. The film starred Shirley Mason, sister of Viola Dana, who appeared in Capra’s first Columbia Pictures film, "That Certain Thing."
