Description:
Seventeen-year-old Jo's summer begins with a new bank account and an encounter with Gudny Andersen. He falls in love with her and starts visiting the bank frequently, depositing money to see her and win her affection. He even sacrifices his ambition of buying a guitar to learn his favorite song, Bruce Springsteen's "Independence Day." When he asks Gudny on a date, he's about to learn a thing or two about love.
