Description:
Generations is a 30-minute film documenting a mentoring session between Barbara Hammer, a 70-year-old experimental filmmaker, and Gina Carducci, a young queer filmmaker. Filmed during the closing days of Astroland at Coney Island, New York, the two women explore themes of aging through the backdrop of the amusement park and the limitations of film itself. Inspired by Shirley Clarke's *Bridges Go Round*, Hammer and Carducci independently edited their visuals and sound, combining them later to create a unique generational and experimental work.
