Description:
While on a business trip in Milan, Bavarian architect Max Hauser falls for Bianca, a headstrong waitress who is fired after defending herself against his colleagues. When he proposes, she flees, and he follows her to Rome. There, he discovers she is the rebellious daughter of Prince Vibaldo D'Arcadia and Countess Gioia, living in a grand but decaying Renaissance palace. Bianca quickly accepts Max’s proposal after gaining her mother's approval. Max then invites his parents – egalitarian dentist Walter Hauser and wine merchant Eva and Zahnarzt – to the wedding. However, Max is dismayed to see his father being pursued by his flight attendant mistress, Xenia, who wants a divorce. This secret threatens to unravel, but his parents refuse to interfere with the wedding. The palace maid overhears part of the story and confides in someone...
