This documentary tells the remarkable story of Nicholas Winton, a young English stockbroker who courageously rescued 669 children. From March 13th to August 2nd, 1939, Winton arranged for eight transports to bring children from Prague to safety in Great Britain. He kept his efforts secret until 1988, when his wife discovered a scrapbook detailing his extraordinary mission. In 1939, Winton, then a 29-year-old London stockbroker, felt compelled to act upon the plight of Jewish children in Prague. He successfully secured refuge for them in Sweden and Britain, relying on forged documents and ensuring he never saw the children again after they were placed with foster families.
