Magnet Man (2001)

This is a true story about a man – the filmmaker's father – who was a gifted mesmerist, exorcist, and healer, yet struggled with his own inner demons. The film is told through the eyes of his young son (the filmmaker as a child), capturing a complex relationship filled with both love and resentment. Director Marcin Wrona employs a vibrant, collage-like visual style he calls "tragicomic kitsch," reminiscent of Monty Python and the lost work of Terry Gilliam.
