Description:
This is the story of Gene Krupa, a legendary jazz drummer whose lifelong passion was music. His parents hoped for a career in the priesthood, but after his father's death, Gene made a promise to enter the church. He quickly realized it wasn't for him and left to join his friend Eddie's band. Eddie's girlfriend, Ethel, persuaded Gene to move to New York City to pursue fame. The three of them went to New York, where Ethel and Gene fell in love and he began to gain recognition. Gene embraced a life of excess with drugs, alcohol, women, and parties. Unhappy with his lifestyle, Ethel left him. Gene eventually faced a difficult turning point and had to decide the future of his life.
