Description:
In Oslo, Annika Sörenbrandt, a virtual bookshop executive and Mika’s partner, is urged to return to her remote village of Fjærland to care for her mother, Pernille. Pernille, disabled after an accident at her historic bookstore, has been estranged from Annika for 25 years. In Fjærland, Annika reconnects with her half-brother Henrik, who has autism and harbors a deep affection for her. As the siblings grow closer, Annika struggles to forgive Pernille for her past choices, particularly prioritizing Henrik over Annika, a resentment fueled by her late father's rejection of Henrik. Henrik had previously accompanied Annika to Oslo, encouraged by Ole, with aspirations for a career.
