Okoru Saigyou (2010)

Director and actor Okishima Isao, known for his diverse work in children's animation and adult films, directs and stars in this documentary. When he learns that the Tamagawa Aqueduct walkway, a place he loves, is being closed for road construction, he assembles his crew to film the scenery. Okishima shares insights from painters, writers, and manga artists, alongside his own perspective on Saigyo, a poet and Buddhist priest who traveled during the late Heian period.
