Description:
Juan, the charming but unreliable younger son, is the favorite in his family. When his older brother, who controls the family’s illegal business with their strong mother, marries Juan’s girlfriend, Ana, Juan goes to Madrid to work for Franco. He also leaves behind his poor cousin, Ángela, who is pregnant with his child. Ten years later, Juanito, Ángela’s son, falls ill with rheumatic fever and needs constant care. Ángela, Ana, and his grandmother do everything the doctor advises. As Juanito recovers, his father returns, desperately needing money. Juanito witnesses a theft, and his mother is wrongly accused. The situation escalates at a celebration for father and son, leading to jealousy, betrayal, and ultimately, a fatal gunshot.
