Description:

Inspector Brumpby (Jaroslav Marvan) and the young crime reporter Allan Pinkerton (Vít Olmer) attend the wedding of Sir Hannibal Morris (Oldrich Nový) and his beautiful bride Clarence (Kveta Fialová). After the ceremony, Clarence's ex-husband, the presumed-dead criminal Manuel Diaz (Waldemar Matuska), appears in her room. He intends to seize Clarence and the inheritance she would receive if her new husband died. Diaz attempts to kill Hannibal, utilizing his knowledge of a secret labyrinth within the château and setting traps that appear to succeed. Hannibal is found dead after an explosion in the labyrinth, but his body disappears. The inspector struggles to unravel the numerous mysteries, aided by Allan, who consistently anticipates and understands the situation better than the lawman.
