Description:
Based on a play by Dorota Masłowska, this film satirizes post-Communist Poland through the lives of three generations of women. An aging grandmother, her daughter Halina, and granddaughter, nicknamed “Little Metal Girl,” live together in a cramped Warsaw apartment, surrounded by pop culture references, advertisements, tabloids, and national stereotypes. Their small world includes an array of unusual neighbors: Bożena, who distributes leaflets; an eccentric film director; two actors; a television presenter; and Edyta, who advocates for the less fortunate.
