Description:
Deepak, a wealthy man, helps a village woman named Tara and they secretly marry, with a promise of his return. When Tara discovers she's pregnant and Deepak has left her, she suffers a stroke and loses her voice. She gives birth to a son and travels to Bombay to find Deepak. He refuses to acknowledge her, offering only money for her and the child to fend for themselves. Desperate, she abandons the baby in a taxi. The child is found by Deepak's sister, Neela, leading to a series of comical mishaps as the baby repeatedly ends up back with Deepak, no matter how hard he tries to get rid of him.
