Our Ex-Girlfriends (2013)

After completing his military service and working to save money selling sweet potatoes, Jae-hyeon returns to university. He agrees to be friends with Hye-ri, a regular customer and call girl he's interested in. One night, he witnesses her being violently assaulted by her pimp husband and rushes to her aid. The incident brings them closer, and they spend the night together. However, she is deeply hurt when she discovers the small amount of money he left for her, and they part ways. Years later, Jae-hyeon works a monotonous job at an insurance company when Hye-ri unexpectedly reappears. They fall in love and begin living together, believing it was fate. But their relationship strains as Hye-ri suddenly desires to become an actress, and Jae-hyeon finds himself overwhelmed financially supporting her. Adding to their problems, her pimp husband begins searching for her, putting pressure on Jae-hyeon.
