Description:
In Vienna's Marc Aurel Street, the film explores the lives of a Jewish textile merchant, the owner of an Iranian hotel, and the patrons of Café Salzgries. From summer 1999 to spring 2000, filmmaker Ruth Beckermann documented her neighborhood, examining its history and current state with a film crew. The documentary also reflects the political climate as a far-right party entered the Austrian government.
