Thursday’s Child (1983)

Seventeen-year-old baseball star Sam Alden appears to have a perfect life. His family is concerned by his frequent coughing and takes him to the hospital, where they discover he has a serious heart condition. Struggling with his illness, Sam hides his pain, trying to maintain a cheerful facade for his worried parents. His health declines, and he learns he needs a heart transplant to live. This marks the start of a demanding and emotionally draining journey filled with numerous operations and tests. The search for a donor feels endless, and Sam faces several challenges even before his final surgery.
