The Sights of China Zhangjiajie (2004)

Set against a landscape of forests and mountains, Zhangjiajie boasts a vibrant array of plants in bloom throughout the year. From plum blossoms and azaleas in winter to over 3,000 species flowering simultaneously in spring, the area offers a constant spectacle of color. Lakes, streams, and waterfalls provide relief from the summer heat and sustain the unique Davidia, or "Dove" trees. Autumn transforms the region with blankets of yellow chrysanthemums. This rare and colorful world is also home to an ethnic minority group with distinctive traditions.
