Description:
Marita Lorenz, daughter of a German sea captain, recounts her life as Fidel Castro's mistress in post-revolutionary Havana, beginning in 1959. While six months pregnant with Castro’s child, she was forcibly induced to have a near-fatal abortion. Subsequently, the CIA and Mafia recruited her to assassinate Castro, but she sabotaged the mission. Working for the CIA in Florida, she had a daughter in 1962 while involved with a former Venezuelan dictator. Later, she married an FBI agent and they conducted surveillance on UN diplomats from a New York apartment. Lorenz revealed her involvement with Frank Sturgis and Lee Harvey Oswald during the 1977 Kennedy Assassination Inquiry, claiming it marked the end of her spying career.
