The film weaves together the stories of modern-day residents – country club members, workers, lovers, rivals, and retirees – to explore how people have long used the desert to survive and find freedom. It’s a story about the enduring spirit of the American Southwest, examining themes of fleeting existence, eternity, life and death, and those who live both within and beyond societal boundaries.
