Description:
In a rural village, the feast day of Saint Peter arrives. The priest urges his congregation to confess and overcome greed, but then encourages celebration. Outside the church, elderly villagers begin dancing as street performers entertain the crowd and children enjoy carousels. Inside his home, an elderly invalid in a wheelchair observes the festivities, while a young man seems lost in thought and a lonely woman watches couples embracing. Traditional patron saint festivals offer faith, community, and amusement, but can also amplify feelings of isolation and unease for some.
