Description:
This documentary examines the influence of the United States, the World Bank, and the IMF on the economies and businesses of other nations. Filmed around the Guarani aquifer, a vast freshwater resource with enough water to supply the planet for centuries, the film explores how this resource is controlled by foreign economies and faces ecological threats. The aquifer is shared by Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay, but their governments appear disengaged. The documentary argues that rumors of terrorism in the region, particularly the triple border area, are a fabrication intended to justify military base installations and control over the water and biological resources. It features interviews with scientists, politicians, and journalists, including Nobel Peace Prize laureate Adolfo Pérez Esquivel, alongside footage of natural landscapes and wildlife. The film draws a comparison between the World Bank and a predatory entity.
