Trouble with his relationship leads young Ben to Albert, an odd but insightful painter in Glasgow who offers therapy with a unique, Jungian twist. Their sessions become a revealing experience for both of them in this darkly comedic film.
"Seat In Shadow," the debut feature from writer/director Henry Coombes, was filmed on location in Glasgow and premiered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival, followed by screenings at Berlin and BFI Flare. The film is a sharp look at social conventions and sexual indulgence, where the lines between therapist and patient, artist and inspiration, begin to disappear.
