Description:
Notre Dame de Paris follows Quasimodo, the deformed bell-ringer of Notre-Dame Cathedral, and his doomed love for Esmeralda, a captivating gypsy woman. Their love is forbidden by societal prejudice and religious hypocrisy. Confined to the cathedral tower by his appearance, Quasimodo becomes captivated by Esmeralda, who performs in the square below. However, Esmeralda is courted by Phoebus, the handsome captain of the King's guard, who is engaged to the wealthy Fleurdelis. Phoebus is immediately drawn to Esmeralda’s exotic beauty. Even Frollo, the cathedral's archdeacon, becomes obsessed with Esmeralda and, consumed by jealousy and desire, murders Phoebus to eliminate his rival.
