Description:
On Christmas Eve, Manuela Paris returns to her hometown near Rome after a long absence. She left as a girl to become a soldier and worked hard to build the life she wanted, eventually becoming an army officer commanding a platoon in Afghanistan. A serious injury in a bloody attack forces her to confront a different kind of battle: against her memories, disillusionment, and the expectations society has for women. Meeting Mattia, a mysterious man also seemingly waiting for something, offers her a chance to understand her own past. Ultimately, she discovers that life is worth living – because everyone, including herself, is more complex than they appear.
