Description:
Uganda, 1989. Guided by visions, young Acholi rebel Joseph Kony establishes the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) in opposition to the government. The LRA forcibly recruits children – over 60,000 in 25 years, with fewer than half surviving. Among those abducted at ages 12 and 13 are friends Geoffrey, Nighty, Mike, and Lapisa. Now, attempting to rebuild their lives, they return to the locations that defined their lost childhood. Haunted by their past as both victims and perpetrators of terrible acts they didn't comprehend, they remain outsiders in a society that rejects them. Meanwhile, the Ugandan army continues its pursuit of the remaining LRA rebels deep within the Central African jungle, while Joseph Kony remains at large.
