Description:
In 1955, Tadahito Mochinaga was commissioned to make commercials for Asahi beer. He used stop-motion animation for these, followed by the 1956 short film "Beer Mukashi Mukashi" (Beer, those were the days...), created specifically for theaters. With assistance from Kikachiro Kawamoto and Noburo Ofuji, this marks the first stop-motion animated short/commercial made for Japanese cinemas.
