Description:
In late Joseon Korea, Jae-won, Man-ki, Deok-ho, and the simple-minded Chil-deuk are the only students remaining at their struggling village school. The teacher proposes they invite female students to liven things up, and So-hyang and the other girls bring a newfound energy, attracting more male students. Yeon-hwa becomes jealous of Jae-won and So-hyang's instant connection and confesses her feelings to him. When he ignores her, she reveals a secret about So-hyang. Meanwhile, the teacher’s wife is startled by a masked man watching her and then surprised by the large hole in a pumpkin he dropped. Disappointed with her husband’s romantic abilities, she interrogates the male students to discover the pumpkin's owner, only to find it belongs to no one. But who is responsible for the hole?
